Several people killed following shelling of Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions

One person was killed following shelling in the Donetsk region, several civilians got light concussions, reported Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the Donetsk regional military administration.

“Russian troops fired at railways stations in Chasiv Yar — several people received light concussions. In the Svetlodar district, Kodema, Semigorie, Novoluhanske, and the Vuhlehirska power station are under fire. There is information about at least one killed in Semigorie,” said Kyrylenko.

According to him, the town of Gornyak was also under fire during the night. The authorities are aware of two injured and damaged town infrastructure: “four houses, an auto body shop, and a gas station.” The town's power lines have been partly damaged.

“In Sloviansk, a missile hit a private residence — the owner ended up under the rubble, there are rescuers working on the scene,” said Kyrylenko.

There were also four “hits” on the Donetsk region city of Druzhkivka. “A hospital, a community centre, residential buildings, and a children’s playground” have been damaged in the city.

Russian forces shelled the Inhuletskyi district of the Kryvyi Rih сity in the Dnipropetrovsk region, said the head of the regional military administration, Valentin Reznichenko.

“They specifically used Grad multiple rocket launchers on residential areas. A few houses and a school were damaged. A car nearby burnt down,” he added.

The mayor of Kryvyi Rih, Oleksandr Vilkul, reported that following the shelling a woman born in 1981 was killed. She worked as a chef in a kindergarten, and at the time of the strike, was on her way there.

There is also information about two casualties: a father and a daughter. The man has multiple moderately severe shrapnel wounds; the 20-year-old daughter died in the hospital following the injuries received during the shelling, said Reznichenko.

Vilkul posted the images of the ammunition used to shell the city of Kryvyi Rih.

“This is the 9A52-4 Tornado 300-mm multiple rocket launcher (the impact area is 120 km). The shelling was conducted from a distance of more than 70 km from the area between Novoraisk and Kostyrka. 10 rockets — both shrapnel and cluster munitions,” added the mayor.

Yesterday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the front-line positions of the Ukraine’s Armed Forces in the Dnipropetrovsk region where he talked to the soldiers. He also held a meeting on the situation in his native Kryvyi Rih district.
