Three more conscription offices set afire in Russia

Military commissariats (conscription officers) in Pronsk and Volgograd caught on fire yesterday, as per Bloknot Volgograda and MK Ryazan.

The Volgograd office was set on fire around 2 a.m. by an unknown individual, some worn clothing stored in the basement was burned, and no people were injured.

Unknown suspects smashed the window and attempted to set a door on fire in a conscription office in Pronsk near Ryazan around 3 o’clock in the night. The fire, however, did not spread, says Baza. The local administration has already reported replacing the damaged window and the door. The police have initiated criminal proceedings in connection with deliberate damaging of property.

Another fire occurred in Gukovo, the Rostov region, where an unknown individual threw a Molotov cocktail at the local enlistment office, according to 161.ru. The fire was extinguished by the local clerks, no property was damaged.

More than ten enlistment offices have been attacked by arsonists in Russia since the start of the Ukraine War, including those in Omsk, Nizhnevartovsk, Balashikha and Shuya.

Two teenagers, both 16, were detained by the police and FSB in Cherepovets while attempting to set a local conscription office on fire with molotovs on 12 May, they were identified via CCTV footage.
