The Sevastopol Garrison Military Court has sentenced a junior sergeant of the Black Sea Fleet, Tryapkin (no first name provided — translator’s note), to five years and four months in a penal colony over charges of evading mobilisation, as per the court’s press service.
According to the investigation, Tryapkin was undergoing contractual military service in order to evade mobilisation. In October 2022, he left his unit and went to Simferopol to help his acquaintance with her housework and taking care of her children; he lived in the city “where he passed the time at his leisure”.
In February 2023, he came to the military investigation department and wrote a voluntary confession, admitting his guilt, the court claims.
