Kyiv authorities: three people killed, including a child, in missile attack carried out by Russian forces

The Russian forces have attacked Kyiv again, the Kyiv military administration press office reports. Three people were killed in the attack, including one child. Ten people were wounded.

“The first day of summer… This attack had the aggressor supposedly use ground based operational-tactical missile systems. This is why the missiles set on Kyiv did not fly from aircraft. Preliminary information is that it was cruise ballistic missiles,” the statement reads.

According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Russian army used Iskander missiles to target civilian and critical infrastructure facilities in the Kyiv region. All ten launched missiles were shot down by Ukraine’s air defence.

During the night, air raid warnings were declared in several Ukrainian regions; a series of explosions was reported in Kyiv — a car caught fire from missile debris and a hospital was damaged. Furthermore, two schools, a police station, and a kindergarten also suffered damages.
