Ukraine’s Kharkiv region: one person killed, two injured in Russia’s missile strike

One person has died, two more have been wounded in a Russian missile strike on the village of Tsyrkuny, Ukraine’s eastward Kharkiv region, regional Governor Oleh Synyehubov reported.

“One person has died. Two more civilians were injured. Doctors are providing all the necessary care,” the local authorities confirmed.

According to Synyehubov, a projectile hit a private residential house. He urged residents to be attentive to air raid sirens and remain in shelters.

The Russian Armed Forces launched a ninth missile strike on Ukraine in May earlier on 18 May, killing one person and injuring two more.

Ukrainian air-defence systems downed 29 cruise missiles out of 30 launched by Russia, Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluzhny said. He added that two Shahed drones and two reconnaissance UAVs had been intercepted.
