On Monday, the US will announce a new military aid package for Ukraine worth $2.6 billion, Reuters reports, citing three US officials.
According to initial reports, the package could include air surveillance radars, anti-tank rockets, precision aerial munitions, additional rounds for NASAMS, bridging equipment, recovery vehicles, and fuel trucks.
According to the sources, a part of the package worth $2.1 billion will be allocated from Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) funding “that allows President Joe Biden’s administration to buy weapons from industry rather than from U.S. weapons stocks”.
The sources clarified that the final amount and the equipment in the package could change by Monday.
