The Moscow police’s migration service has banned US citizen Alicia Day from entering Russia for 40 years after the animal rights activist took a calf for a walk in the Red Square, TASS reports.
The woman will not be able to enter Russia until 2063. She told reporters that her decision to leave Russia was voluntary.
Day was also accused of violating rules of entry and stay in Russia by a foreigner. This charge carries a fine of up to 7,000 rubles (€88) and potential deportation. However, the court refused to consider the materials after finding faults in them.
The court said that Day was living in Russia without a registration. The woman claimed she did not know she was obliged to get one.
