A drone exploded in the woods of Russia’s Kaluga region the morning of 6 February, no one was hurt, local governor Vladislav Shapsha says.
“Tonight, residents of Kaluga’s outskirts heard a bang. It’s been established that a drone had exploded at an altitude of 50 metres in the woods close to the city at 5 AM. No damage done to any civilian or social facility. No one was hurt,” he reports.
Law enforcement agents are operating onsite, he adds.
Ukraine has not yet commented on the exploded drone.
Since the start of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, border regions of Russia — Kursk, Bryansk, and Belgorod regions — have been regularly shelled.
On 3 February, governor of the Bryansk region Alexander Bogomaz said that Ukrainian servicemen had carried out a missile attack on the territory of the Starodub municipal district at 5 AM. According to him, four missiles were shot down, there were no victims or damage.
