The Public Prosecution Service of Russia has returned home over 9,000 unlawfully mobilised citizens, Russia’s Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov said during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, as per the Kremlin website.
“Supervisory efforts have led to bringing back home over 9,000 citizens mobilised unlawfully,” he said. Among the returned people, there are those who should not have been mobilised due to their health, Krasnov added.
“There hasn’t been a mobilisation in a long time — a lot of significant problems have been found, which became a lesson for many, led to reviewing the ways of organising military registration, of forming the corresponding serviceman databases,” Krasnov explained. According to the prosecutor general, most of the provision problems have already been solved.
