EU foreign ministers have approved the eighth military aid package for Ukraine amounting to €500 million, Reuters reports.
It is noted that the €500 million was approved along with additional €45 million for “non-lethal equipment” to be sent to the EU military training mission in Ukraine, a Reuters source said. The package will be financed through the European Peace Facility, the joint EU budget established to provide assistance to Kyiv.
Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó noted that Budapest would not hamper EU supplies of weapons to Ukraine. However, just a week ago Hungary was blocking the package approval.
