The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation together with the Ministry of Defence have developed a course on Military Training Basics which will be taught in Russian universities. The corresponding statement was posted on the ministry’s website.
“The module is aimed at forming primary skills to prepare students for military or other state service,” the ministry claims.
The course includes marching drills, tactical and medical preparedness basics, and “sections on the main directions of the socio-economic, political, and military-technical development of the Russian Federation”. During the module, students will also study “specifics of the international relations development” and legal grounds for military service.
