The Government of the Chelyabinsk region of Russia has confirmed the death of five mobilised men from the region, local outlet 74.ru reports.
“The military commissariat has confirmed the information about the death of five South Urals residents that had been drafted by the [local] military enlistment office. We will provide all necessary help to the relatives and close ones of our fallen soldiers. In addition to the federal payouts, they will be paid one million rubles (€16,000) in an accelerated manner,” the press service of the region’s government said in a statement.
Local outlets 74.ru and Ura.ru report that the mobilised men were killed in Ukraine. According to the journalists, they were killed “in Donbas”.
The regional government promised to provide their families with psychological and “any other necessary” help.
