Shelling reported in Russia’s border village of Nekhoteevka 

The Russian village of Nekhoteevka, located near the border with Ukraine, was shelled on Thursday, governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov stated on his Telegram channel.

The governor first reported that one of the projectiles had hit an out-of-service gas station, which caused a fire. However, he later disproved his initial report, saying that a fire erupted at a customs terminal following the attack. The gas station was not damaged in the shelling, he noted. No one was injured in the incident.

Earlier, Gladkov accused the Ukrainian Armed Forces of shelling the village of Krasny Khutor. Fourteen houses were damaged in the shelling, he wrote, adding that no one was hurt. Residents of the streets located along the border were evacuated yesterday, the governor stated.

On 13 September, Gladkov reported an attack on the village of Shelayevo from the side of Ukraine, which injured two local residents.

Gladkov also stated today that schools located on the border with Ukraine would switch to online learning “following the decision of an anti-terrorism committee”.
