The Russian government has expanded its list of “foreign states and territories that commit unfriendly actions against Russia, Russian companies and citizens” to include The Bahamas, Guernsey and The Isle of Man, the government website reports.
The Isle of Man and Guernsey were included on the list for supporting the sanctions introduced by the UK. The Bahamas was marked as “unfriendly” for introducing “a ban on all operations with the Bank of Russia, the Russian Ministry of Finance and a number of credit organisations of the Russian Federation”.
Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed earlier that Russian companies that have foreign currency liabilities with unfriendly states can pay off the pending loans in rubles.
