More than 30 people are under the rubble of a five storey residential building hit by a missile in the city of Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region, said Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the Donetsk regional military administration.
Two entrances of the building have been completely destroyed. Currently, rescuers are trying to save the locals that had ended up under the rubble.
“According to locals, there are, probably, at least 34 people under the rubble, including a 9-year-old child. They have already found and brought five injured and six bodies to the surface,” said Kyrylenko.
The rescuers have also managed to establish a connection with two people currently under the rubble.
Yesterday, the local authorities reported that shelling of a railway station had taken place in Chasiv Yar. Following the shelling, several people got light concussions, said Kyrylenko.
Also, according to him, one person was killed in Semigorie, and two civilians were injured in the town of Gornyak.
