Bryansk regional governor Aleksandr Bogomaz reported an artillery attack from the side of Ukraine on the village of Zernovo. “About 18 attacks have been recorded. There are no injured persons. Emergency services are working on the scene,” he stated.

Since the start of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Russian border villages and cities have regularly come under shelling. On 3 July, Belgorod regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov stated that “a series of loud noises” had been heard overnight. A fire broke out at a residential building. Four people were killed in the attack, including three Ukrainian citizens and one Russian national.
