Russia launched multiple Kinzhal ballistic missiles at targets in Ukraine overnight, the Ukrainian Armed Forces said on Monday, with strikes reported in the cities of Dnipro, Khmelnytskyi, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv and Kryvyi Rih.

Zaporizhzhia Governor Yury Malashko said there had been five explosions in the city of Zaporizhzhia and that missiles had struck residential areas. Two people were reportedly injured.

Kharkiv Governor Oleh Syniehubov said the Russian army had launched four strikes on Kharkiv, adding that the type of weapon used had still not been confirmed, but that there had been no casualties.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Governor Serhiy Lysak reported a shopping centre and about 20 residential buildings had been damaged in the city of Kryvyi Rih, where one person was injured by shrapnel.

A 62-year-old woman was killed and a private house was destroyed in the village of Lozuvatka, outside Kryvyi Rih. A fire also broke out in the town of Novomoskovsk, north of the regional centre Dnipro.

Three administrative buildings, two petrol stations, one five-storey residential building and a car were damaged. According to preliminary data, 24 people were injured, five of them children.
