Annexed Crimea was rocked by fresh explosions overnight, leading to traffic on the Crimean Bridge being temporarily suspended.
“An attempted drone attack by Kyiv on facilities in the territory of the Russian Federation has been foiled. Air defence systems destroyed two Ukrainian drones over Crimea,” the Russian Defence Ministry said.
Local media reported approximately five powerful explosions in Crimea’s largest city, Sevastopol. The governor of the city, Mikhail Razvozhayev, reported air defence systems had shot down one Ukrainian drone.
