Russian attack on Kherson kills one

A 41-year-old resident of Ukraine’s Kherson was killed in a Russian attack on the Kherson region of Ukraine, Oleksandr Prokudin, the regional governor, said on Thursday.

The man was home at the time of the attack. He was injured by shrapnel and died of his wounds. A 27-year-old man was wounded in the same strike; he was treated on site.

On Wednesday evening, Prokudin said that two Su-35 fighter jets were en route to the Kherson region.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported overnight that several groups of Shahed drones were heading towards the city of Odesa and the Mykolaiv region. The Odesa, Dnipro, Kropyvnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Cherkassy regions of Ukraine were on high alert due to potential drone strikes.

Ukrainian air defence shot down a total of 34 out of the 44 Shahed drones launched by the Russian army, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

Two people killed in mass shootout in Russia’s Dagestan

Two people were killed in a mass shootout in the village of Levashi in Russia’s Dagestan, the local ministry of internal affairs reported on Wednesday.

One of the victims, a local police officer who arrived at the scene of the shootout to resolve the conflict, was shot in the head.

According to the ministry, there was a conflict between two men who got over 25 of their relatives involved in it. A brawl turned into a shootout when one of the participants took out a gun and started firing at people. Another man took out a rifle and started shooting at the crowd, the ministry’s report says. The participants of the shootout then fled the scene in four different vehicles.

Crew members of Russian submarine B-237 reportedly injured in 13 September attack on Sevastopol Shipyard

Members of the Russian submarine B-237 crew were reportedly injured during the 13 September attack on the the Sevastopol Shipyard in Russia-annexed Crimea, independent media outlet The Insider has discovered.

The Insider pointed out that money was being raised for the members of the crew on the Saint-Petersburg Submariners & Naval Veterans Club website.

The statement posted to the website says that Ukraine attacked the shipyard with cruise missiles on 13 September, when the submarine was being repaired there. “There are injured crew members that are in need of our help,” the statement reads.

At the time of the publication, 772,000 rubles (€7,548) had been collected by the club.

On 13 September, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched 10 cruise missiles at the Sevastopol Shipyard, damaging two vessels that had been in for repairs, Russia’s Defence Ministry previously reported. The attack killed two shipyard workers and injured 26, Telegram channel Shot said.
