Number of people injured in Kryvyi Rih missile strike rises to 74

The number of people injured in a missile strike on in the central Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih on Friday morning has risen to 74, the head of the city’s defence council Oleksandr Vilkul reported on Saturday.

“The number of people injured in yesterday’s missile strike has risen to 74, 34 people were taken to city hospitals, three of them are in a critical condition,” he wrote.

Vilkul added that the city's vital infrastructure, public transport, social and medical facilities were working as normal.

The authorities initially reported 44 people being injured in the attack, which struck a police station early on Friday morning and claimed the life of one person.

The Dnipro regional governor, Serhiy Lysak, said that some 210 tonnes of rubble had subsequently been removed from the site of impact.
