Helicopter crashes in Russia’s Chelyabinsk region

A Mi-8 helicopter belonging to Russia’s Federal Security Service crashed in the Chelyabinsk region on Tuesday, news agency TASS reported citing emergency services.

All crew members have reportedly been killed.

Baza Telegram channel wrote that there were three people on board the helicopter, which was carrying out a training flight.

Alexei Teksler, Governor of the Chelyabinsk region confirmed that the aircraft was carrying three people and that all have been killed, adding that nobody was harmed on the ground.

It is not yet known what caused the crash. Mash Telegram channel said that the helicopter may have hit some power lines due to poor visibility.
