Industrial facility catches fire in Russia’s drone attack on Zaporizhzhia

An industrial facility has caught fire following a Russian attack on the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia in the early hours of 22 August. The large-scale blaze has already been put out, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry reports.

A police statement said that the fire had destroyed four lorries and 10 cars, though no injuries had been reported.

The strike also damaged four residential buildings, though no one was injured either according to a city administration official. The Zaporizhzhia region chief claimed that attack drones had been used in the strike.

Moreover, Kryvyi Rih Mayor Oleksandr Vilkul reports that the city was rocked by an explosion, adding that the Russian army launched a missile at the city. Vilkul said that one senior citizen was injured in the attack, sustaining multiple face wounds, and 20 residential buildings as well as the city’s energy infrastructure were also damaged.
