Su-30 fighter jet crashes in Russia’s Kaliningrad region, entire crew dead

A Sukhoi S-30 fighter jet has crashed in the Kaliningrad region of Russia, with the crew not surviving the fall, Russian newspaper RBC reported on Saturday, citing the Western Military District.

The aircraft went down in a deserted area, it also wasn’t equipped with ammunition. The alleged cause of the crash was reported to be a malfunction.

The officials said that the jet had been conducting a training flight.

In July, a Su-25 fighter jet crashed in the Yeyskiy Liman Bay near the town of Yeysk in the Russian south, the pilot was killed in the crash. The local authorities said that the plane had been conducting a training flight. The Yeyskiy Liman is a bay in the north-east of the Azov Sea which separates Russia and the occupied Ukrainian territories.
