Missile debris falls near children’s hospital in Kyiv

Missile debris has fallen down in the territory of a children’s hospital in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko says.

According to him, there were no damages or casualties. Emergency services are on their way to the scene.

The head of the city administration Serhiy Popko reports that several pieces of debris have fallen down in the territory of a children’s hospital in the Obolonskiy district of the city.

Earlier, Klitschko said that explosions were being heard in the capital. The city military administration declared that air defence systems were activated.

Per Ukrainian Telegram channels, explosions were also heard in the Khmelnytskyi and Vinnytsia regions.

The Ukrainian Air Force reports that Ukraine detected launches of Kinzhal missiles in the direction of the Kyiv region.

On 10 August, the Russian army carried out a missile strike on the city of Zaporizhzhia. One person was killed and at least 16 were injured.
