Man, 18, killed in Russian attack on Ukraine’s Nikopol

An 18-year-old man has been killed in Ukraine’s Nikopol following Russian shelling, head of the Dnipro region administration Serhiy Lysak reports.

“An 18-year-old man has died. Three more people were injured: all men, 21, 35, and 44 years old. They have blast traumas and fragmentation wounds,” the statement reads.

According to him, the Russian army launched three artillery attacks on the Nikopol district, including the town of Nikopol. Moreover, a church, five private houses, two outhouse buildings, a car, and several power lines were damaged.

Russian forces attacked the Nikopol district with heavy artillery and Grad missile launchers four times in the early hours of 9 August.
