“Preliminary reports indicate three people were killed — local civilians. Around 15 people were injured and taken to hospital. A 12-year-old child is still under the rubble. Rescuers are working onsite,” Balitsky wrote.
He added that the shelling occurred at around 7 PM local time.
According to the 2001 census, Basan has a population of about 1,400 people.
