Russia launches attacks against Odesa, Kharkiv regions

A man, 44, was killed following a Russian attack in the Odesa region of Ukraine, says local governor Oleh Kiper.

A building and two vehicles were destroyed by the strike. Russia attacked the Black Sea coast in Odesa with Kalibr missiles.

The Ukrainian military has reported destroying eight Shahed drones Russia had launched against Ukraine. The drones were taken down in the regions of Khmelnytskyi, Dnipro, and Donetsk.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine also reported that Russia had launched two Kalibre missiles from the Black Sea. “Sadly, those were not downed,” the statement reads.

A woman, 74, was killed by Russia’s attack on Kivsharivka in the Kharkiv region, as per local governor Oleh Synehubov.

The governor says Russia used a KAB-250 guided bomb that dropped near a five-storey apartment block. “The building was damaged, and a wall collapsed in one of the apartments. A 9-storey nearby building was also damaged,” Synehubov says.

Three women and one man were injured; they are in a moderately severe condition.

An S-300 missile also hit a non-residential building in Velykyi Burluk, starting a fire. The Russian military also used artillery, mortars and other weapons to attack different parts of the Kharkiv region, causing forest fires.

A school in Ivashky was damaged by mortars, while another mortar attack damaged a critical infrastructure facility in Perovske. No people were injured.

Yesterday evening, Ukraine’s Air Force reported two waves of Russian missile attacks on Ukraine. According to the Ukrainian military, the Russian side fired three Kalibr missiles and 33 Kh-101/Kh-555 missiles, all of which were shot down. The Russian Armed Forces also attacked Ukraine with four Kinzhal missiles.
