Russia opens criminal case against sociologist Boris Kagarlitsky for ‘justifying terrorism’

Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) has opened a criminal case against sociologist Boris Kagarlitsky for “justifying terrorism”, state news agency TASS reports citing an attorney.

Law enforcement officers also searched the home of Moscow activist, psychologist Alexander Archagov, in relation to this case, OVD-Info writes. Archagov was taken in for questioning after the search. His status in the case is unclear for now.

Boris Kagarlitsky is a Russian sociologist and professor at the Moscow Higher School for Social and Economic Sciences founded by Teodor Shanin.
