Russian strike kills four in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region

Russia’s strike has killed four people at an infrastructure facility in the Zaporizhzhia region, says local governor Yury Malashko.

Four members of personnel lost their lives, according to Malashko. They were 29, 30, 33, and 43 years of age. Two more people were admitted to hospital.

In total, the Russian military has delivered 80 strikes on 20 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region over the past 24 hours, Malashko said. The town of Orikhiv, as well as villages next to the front line, were attacked. The regional administration received 33 reports of destroyed residential buildings and infrastructure facilities.

Ukraine’s Armed Forces are employing a new counteroffensive tactic in order to get through the densely mined areas of the Zaporizhzhia region, as per the Washington Post.

“Rather than try to break through with the infantry fighting vehicles and battle tanks that Western allies provided to aid Ukraine in this counteroffensive, units are moving forward, slowly, on foot,” WP reports citing Ukrainian military personnel.
