Russian attack on Ukraine’s Kramatorsk kills nine, including three children
Nine people have been killed, including three children, in Russia’s latest attack on the Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk. Moreover, 60 people were injured with varying degrees of severity, including an eight-month-old baby, the regional prosecution reports.
More people could be trapped under the rubble. The final death toll could still rise.
BBC in Russian notes that three citizens of Colombia have been injured: founder of the Aquanta Ucraina (Stay Strong Ukraine) organisation and Colombian lawmaker Sergio Jaramillo, author Héctor Abad, and journalist Catalina Gómez. They were accompanied by Ukrainian novelist Victoria Amelina, who is also injured and is in critical condition.
Apartment blocks, retail spaces, cars, a post office, and other buildings were in the epicentre of the explosion, windows and doors were smashed and blown out. A fire broke out as a result of the attack.

Russian forces launched the attack on Kramatorsk late on 27 June. One missile hit a restaurant in the central part of the city, the other struck the village of Bilenke. The Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office opened a probe into violation of laws and customs of war.
Pskov region governor: two Ka-52 pilots among those killed in Wagner rebellion
Lieutenant Colonel Alexey Vorozhtsov and Lieutenant Denis Oleynikov, Ka-52 crew members and servicemen of the Pskov territorial garrison, were killed in the Wagner Group’s coup on 24 June, Pskov region Governor Mikhail Vedernikov said in a video address.
“The events of the weekend will long stay in our memory: an armed rebellion started before our very eyes and quickly gained traction, it was threatening to turn into a fratricidal conflict with a lot of victims,” he said.
A Ka-52 helicopter was downed in the Voronezh region. Russian officials did not specify how many service members had been killed. Yevgeny Prigozhin, the Wagner Group chief, claimed that he had not lost any mercenaries.
Prigozhin’s jets return to Russia from Minsk
Planes of Wagner Group founder Yevgeny Prigozhin took off from Minsk’s Machulishchy military airfield late on 27 June and headed to Russia. According to Flightradar24, one flew to Moscow, the other one to St. Petersburg.
The planes in question are the Embraer Legacy 600 business jet (RA-02795) and another business jet (RA-02878).

Prigozhin’s planes landed in Belarus in the morning of 27 June. IStories and OCCRP reported that the Wagner Group chief’s jet flew from Rostov-on-Don to St. Petersburg after the coup broke out.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka earlier announced that Prigozhin relocated to Belarus according to the agreements reached.
