Railroad blown up in Crimea

A railroad track was blown up in Crimea near Feodosia, Baza Telegram channel reports.

The explosion happened overnight and damaged the railroad surface. The Telegram channel says no people were injured.

Sergey Aksyonov, the Russia-installed governor of Crimea, has also reported on the incident. He said that the train traffic would be restored in two hours.

“Two morning trains were cancelled due to track damage. Passengers from the stations of Feodosia and Vladyslavivka will be provided buses. About 1.5 h—2 h is needed for repairs,” Oleg kryuchkov, advisor to Aksyonov, wrote in his Telegram channel.

In late February, a railroad track was damaged in Crimea near the village of Pochtove. The Atesh movement, which presents itself as a partisan movement of Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars, took responsibility for the explosion on the railway. In early May, it claimed responsibility for the explosion of Zakhar Prilepin’s car, and also declared its responsibility for the assassination of Kirill Stremousov, a Russia-appointed official in the Kherson region.

Atesh also claims to have assassinated Russian servicemen and National Guard soldiers in the annexed Crimea on multiple occasions and to have set up sabotage acts in both Russia proper and the occupied regions.
