Russian forces carry out drone attacks across Ukraine. Almost 30 people injured in Khmelnytskyi region and three in Mykolaiv city

In the early hours of 13 May, Russian forces carried out several attacks on Ukraine using Shahed-136 and Shahed-131 drones, the Ukrainian Air Force reports.

The number of people injured in the overnight attack on the Khmelnytskyi region has gone up to almost 30, Mayor of Khmelnytskyi Oleksandr Symshyshyn says, as reported by Ukraine’s national broadcaster Suspilne.

According to the mayor, the injuries are light, and the people’s lives are not in danger. Two of them have been hospitalised.

According to their data, Russia launched 21 drones, 17 of which were shot down. Furthermore, an operational and tactical drone Orlan-10 was destroyed.

“Unfortunately, the enemy drones hit infrastructure facilities in the Khmelnytskyi region. The local authorities and emergency crews are dealing with the aftermath,” the press release says.

The Khmelnytskyi region administration reports that a drone hit a critical infrastructure facility. The Russian media claim that the facility in question is industrial electronic factory Cation.

Mayor of Khmelnytskyi Oleksandr Symshyshyn writes that educational, medical, administrative, and industrial buildings, as well as multi-storey and private houses were damaged by the blast wave.

Ukrainian media outlet Strana reports, citing the mayor, that 11 people were hurt in the attack.

In the city of Mykolaiv, Mykolaiv region, a five-storey building was damaged and a two-storey industrial building was destroyed in the attack, as per head of the region Vitalii Kim. Fires started in both buildings, but they have already been extinguished. Three people were hurt in the attack, Kim says.

In the Kyiv and Lviv regions of Ukraine, air defence systems were activated. All drones were shot down.
