Five civilians injured in Russian missile attack on Kharkiv region’s town of Balakliya

The Russian army has carried out a missile attack on the town Balakliya, Izium district of the Kharkiv region of Ukraine, at least five civilians have been wounded, head of the regional administration Oleh Synehubov says in a post on his Telegram channel.

According to him, a Russian missile S-300 hit the territory of one of the car parks. Two 75-year-old women and a 50-year-old woman received injuries from an explosion; two men, 20 and 85, ended up with “relatively light injuries”.

The victims are being provided necessary medical assistance, emergency crews are operating on site.

Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, also reports that five people have been hurt in the attack.
