Fourteen-year-old killed in Russian air strike on Ukraine’s Chernihiv region

A fourteen-year-old was killed in the airstrike on the Chernihiv region of Ukraine carried out by Russia’s Armed Forces, press service of Ukraine’s Armed Forces Operational Command North reports.

“Around 2:50 PM (local time) the launch of two guided bombs from Russian aircraft Su-35 on the Lyzunivka village was recorded,” the statement reads.

Head of the Chernihiv region administration Viacheslav Chaus says that around 3:37 PM Kyiv time an educational building was hit in the Novhorod-Siverskyi district.

According to initial reports, two civilians were wounded. A school building was partially destroyed, private houses were damaged.

Chaus adds that the Russian army shelled 23 locations in the region for a total of 72 times over the past week. Russian forces used aviation nine times. One person was killed, three people were injured. Over 300 people were left without power in the Novhorod-Siverskyi district.
