Two drones attacked the city of Sevastopol in the early hours of 24 April, as per local governor Mikhail Razvozhayev.
“As of now, the situation is: one surface drone was destroyed by anti-submarine and sabotage defence, the second one blew up by itself. All of this happened in the outer roadstead, no facilities suffered damages,” he wrote in a Telegram post.
Furthermore, a video has spread online — in it, one can see a flash and hear rattling sounds from, presumably, the drone crashing.
According to Razvozhayev, the attack began at 3:30 AM. Currently, the situation is calm in the city, but all forces are in a state of alert, the governor added.
Ukraine has not commented on the incident.
The last time Razvozhayev reported repelling a drone attack was on 22 March. “In total, by this hour three [drones] had been destroyed. They were trying to penetrate the bay, our sailors fired at them from firearms,” he said back then.
