Crew Dragon capsule carrying Russian cosmonaut Anna Kikina returns to Earth from ISS

SpaceX’s Crew Dragon spacecraft has splashed down off the coast of Florida in the Gulf of Mexico, NASA reports.

Anna Kikina, Russian Roscosmos cosmonaut returned to Earth along with her NASA colleagues Nicole Mann and Josh Cassada as well as Japanese astronaut Koichi Wakata. They spent 157 days working at the ISS.

“Anna Kikina has become the first Russian citizen in 21 years to return to Earth on an American spaceship (Valery Korzun and Sergey Treshchev splashed down on Space Shuttle Endeavor in December 2002), and the first one to do so on a Crew Dragon ship,” Roscosmos said.

The Crew Dragon was launched in early October 2022. It docked to the ISS on 7 October.
