At least eight people have been killed in an attack on a Jehovah’s Witnesses centre in Germany’s Hamburg, and “several people” were severely injured, as per Focus and Bild.
Shots were fired in a centre of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the Alsterdorf district during an event organised by the local religious community, Wetterauer Zeitung reports. The local police were informed at about 21.00 yesterday local time.
The individual who started the shooting is already presumably dead, the local police say; his body has reportedly been found in the building near the scene. His motives remain unclear, the agency reports.
