Since the start of the war in Ukraine, at least 461 children have been killed, over 929 children have been injured, Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine reports.
According to the office, the biggest number of child victims was documented in the Donetsk region (445), Kharkiv region (272), and Kyiv region (123).
It is also reported that Russian strikes and bombardments damaged 3,126 educational institutions, destroying 438 completely.
In the early hours of 2 March, the Russian army carried out a missile strike against a five-storey residential building in the city of Zaporizhzhia, killing at least three people, according to initial reports.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, 11 people have been rescued from under the rubble, including a pregnant woman; 20 people have been evacuated from another sector of the building.
