“We resolutely condemn this disgusting act of vandalism. Based on universally accepted international law standards, we demanded that the host state take active and effective measures to identify and hold accountable those who committed this offence and also prevent similar acts in the future because they affect the dignity, tranquillity, and immunity of spaces and estates of the Russian consular mission,” the consulate general noted.

According to the mission, the Bonn police have been notified about the incident, while Germany has launched an investigation.

Head of the Russian Investigative Committee has instructed his agency to look into the act of vandalism and provide a legal review of the offence.
