Air defence systems have downed seven drones over Sevastopol, says Mikhail Razvozhayev, the Russia-installed governor.
“No facilities, either in the city or the water area, were damaged, all drones were taken down over the sea. Our military calmly repelled the attack of the enemy UAVs on Sevastopol. We keep controlling the situation in the air, all operation units remain stand-by,” he said.
The first drone was heading for a military airfield in Belbek, Razvozhayev claims. Locals reported explosions over Sevastopol last night.
Russia executed a new massive shelling of Ukraine on Saturday. Explosions were reported in the Kyiv, Lviv, Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Dnipro, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Khmelnytskyi regions of the country.
Ukraine’s army officials say the projectile that hit the apartment block was a Russian Kh-22 anti-ship missile.
