Six people, including a police officer, have been injured in a knife attack carried out by an unknown person in Paris, BFM TV reports.
The incident occurred at the railway station Gare du Nord, Paris. The attacker was “neutralised” by the police.
Train schedules have been temporarily disrupted.
“Transport traffic is disrupted upon exit and entry to the Gare du Nord. The police opened fire at the [attacker] who had reportedly injured passengers at the station,” the regional railway network says in a tweet.
Emergency services are operating on site, the circumstances of the attack are being investigated.
