An air-defence system has eliminated an unidentified object discovered in the skies in Russia’s Rostov region, regional governor Vasily Golubev said.
“An air-defence system was triggered yesterday around 10 PM 7 km away from the village of Sultan Saly in the Myasnikovsky district. A small sphere-shaped object that was flying freely in the wind was discovered at the 2.5-km altitude. The decision was made to eliminate it,” Golubev said.
He also asked residents of the region to “stay calm and not panic”. Earlier, people in the Rostov region published videos online showing the object being downed.
Moreover, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev informed that two drones had been downed near the Belbek airfield area in Crimea.
