Authorities of Russia’s Volgograd region report debris of an ‘unidentified object’ falling down in village Linevo

Metal fragments of an “unidentified object” have fallen down in the village Linevo, Volgograd region of Russia, a local district head Alexander Shevchenko reports.

According to the district’s emergency services, the fallen debris “did not harm socially significant infrastructure”, however, two residential buildings were damaged.

Emergency workers, police officers, and representatives of the local administration are operating on the site.

Videos showing burning metal debris and smoke coming from the residential area previously appeared online.

Meanwhile, the Volgograd region governor Andrey Bocharov signed an order banning drone flights in the city of Volgograd and the entire region. It is clarified that the ban does not extend to the use of drones approved by the operational headquarters.
