Russian governor: warship downs drone over sea off Sevastopol’s coast

A Black Sea Fleet patrol military vessel has shot down a drone over the sea in Sevastopol, Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev reported via Telegram.

“In the morning, a patrol ship of the Black Sea Fleet has brought down a drone over the sea. Our military acted with precision, as always,” the official noted without adding any details.

On 5 December, a drone attacked the Engels airfield in Russia’s Saratov region. Moreover, an oil truck caught fire at the Dyagilevo airstrip near Ryazan, western Russia, an explosion ensued. The Russian Defence Ministry said that 3 service members had been killed in the Ukrainian drone attack, 4 more had been injured. Moscow retaliated to strike “the system of military command and defence industry facilities, communication and power nodes, and Ukraine’s army bases linked to it,” the ministry reported.

Moreover, a drone attacked an airfield in Russia’s Kursk region on 6 December, an oil tank caught fire. The emergency operation to put out the blaze took more than 24 hours, 200 people, and 3 firefighter trains.
