Ukraine’s Donetsk region reports one death in shelling in past 24 hours, Russia-controlled DPR says 5 people were killed

In the past 24 hours, 1 person was killed, 4 more were injured after the Russian army shelled Ukraine’s Donetsk region, Governor Pavlo Kyrylenko reported.

“On 2 December, news emerged that one civilian was killed by Russians in Soledar, Donetsk region,” he wrote. One person was injured in Vuhledar and Kurakhove each, two more in Bakhmut.

Kyrylenko also reported that Torske and Zarichne had been targeted.

The Russia-controlled Donetsk people’s republic said that 5 people had been killed in its territory, 14 more had been injured.

“In the past 24 hours, between 08:00 2 December and 08:00 3 December 5 civilians were killed and 14 more civilians were injured in the shelling by the Ukrainian army of the Donetsk people’s republic,” the statement says.

The Russia-controlled entity also said that the Ukrainian army had used Grad and HIMARS missile launchers to target 9 towns and villages.
