‘None of our business’ — Kremlin spokesman about execution of former convict and PMC Wagner fighter

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has refused to comment on the video showing Yevgeny Nuzhin, a convicted criminal, being executed with a sledgehammer posted by a Telegram channel linked to PMC Wagner, Interfax reports.

“No comment. We don’t know what it is or if it’s real. It’s none of our business,” Peskov said.

Earlier, a Telegram channel affiliated with PMC Wagner published the Nuzhin execution video. The information was confirmed by a Gulagu.net source in the private military company.

In the video, Nuzhin says that he defected to Ukraine in September and was kidnapped from Kyiv in November. The man says he woke up in a basement and was told that he would “be brought before justice”. After this, Nuzhin’s head is crushed with a sledgehammer.

After the video was published, head of PMC Wagner Yevgeny Prigozhin lauded it as a “fantastic director’s work”.

“I prefer to watch history in the theater. As for the sledgehammer-ed one [Nuzhin], in this show it is clear that he did not find happiness in Ukraine and met with unkind but fair people. I think this movie is called ‘A dog’s death to a dog’,” he commented on the video.
