‘DPR’ officials report assassination attempt on local ‘supreme court justice’. The man has been hospitalised in a serious condition

The “interior ministry” of the Donetsk “people’s republic” (“DPR”) has reported that there was an assassination attempt on the local “supreme court justice” Alexander Nikulin in the city of Vuhlehirsk.

“On the evening of 4 November, the emergency department of the DPR interior ministry was informed of the attempted assassination on the DPR Supreme Court justice A. A. Nikulin in the city of Vuhlehirsk. The man received gunshot wounds. He is currently in a serious condition. Medics are fighting for his life,” the message reads.

Alexander Nikulin was appointed the “supreme court justice” in the “DPR” in September 2022. In the summer, he chaired a panel of judges who sentenced three foreigners to death for taking part in combat activities on the side of Ukraine: two UK citizens Shaun Pinner and Aiden Aslin, as well as Moroccan national Saaudun Brahim.
