‘PMC Wagner Centre’ opens in Saint Petersburg

A ‘PMC Wagner Centre’ has opened in Saint Petersburg near the Novocherkasskaya metro station, as per Ostorozhno Novosti. Yevgeny Prigozhin, the founder of the paramilitary mercenary group, has also confirmed this.

“The PMC Wagner Centre is a group of buildings with venues for inventors, project developers, IT specialists, experimental manufacturers and various startups, all free of charge,” reads Prigozhin’s statement.

His vision of the Centre’s mission is to “create a comfortable environment for generating new ideas that would improve Russia’s defensive capacity, including information-wise,” he says. Prigozhin also said he would consider opening branches should the project prove to be successful.

General Alexander Lapin, commander of Russia’s central army group in Ukraine, was dismissed from his position earlier today, as per Grozny TV and a source for RBC. Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of Chechnya, and Yevgeny Prigozhin, founder of the PMC Wagner group, criticised Lapin numerous times, notably for withdrawing from Lyman in the Luhansk region.
