Russian schoolgirls sew balaclavas in class for soldiers sent to Ukraine

Students of a school in the city of Sobinki, Russia’s Vladimir region, were told to sew balaclavas in class for soldiers sent to the war in Ukraine, the school administration announced on social media. Dovod news outlet drew attention to the post.

“Sewing for our guys. Students of School N4 of the city of Sobinki are sewing <…> balaclavas for fighters taking part in the special military operation,” the school reported.

The students wrapped the balaclavas in paper signed “Remember, warrior, you’re the best! Russia is with you!”

Earlier, Sirena news outlet reported that students of a school in Russia’s Penza were sent to make the beds for draftees at a local sports complex reequipped to accommodate the new conscripts.

“First, the boys took time off to assemble the beds, and then the girls were sent in to make the beds,” the media outlet wrote.
