Kadyrov outraged by ‘weak responses’ of Russian army and calls for wiping Ukrainian cities off the map

In a Telegram post, head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov has expressed frustration with “weak responses” of the Russian army to Ukrainian attacks and called for wiping Ukraine’s cities off the face of the earth.

“We are responding… well, I think our responses are weak. If a shell falls on our territory, on our region, then we need to wipe cities off the face of the earth, so the distant horizon can be visible, so they realise that they can’t even think about firing at us. There’s no need to wait for tomorrow if we are gonna be making any decisions,” he says.

Kadyrov also insists that the war in Ukraine should be called “war” and not “special military operation”, as Russia’s censorship agency Roskomnadzor demands, seeing as military action is already occurring “on our land”. However, it is unclear what territories he means.

Kadyrov thinks that Caucasians have to line up in queues in front of draft offices, because “this concerns us more than anyone”. The war in Ukraine is a “war against Satanism”, and Muslims have to unite with Christians against same-sex marriage and disappearance of words “mum” and “dad”, Kadyrov says.

The West has exhausted opportunities to respond, so the situation cannot get worse, he adds.

Kadyrov previously said that his underage sons were taking part in the war in Ukraine. According to him, 16-year-old Ahmad, 15-year-old Zelimkhan, and 14-year-old Adam had been “actively searching for members of Ichkerian battalions, simultaneously visiting the deployment locations and frontline positions of Chechen fighters” for days at that point.
